Anikó Magasházi received a PhD in Economics, at the International Relations Multidisciplinary Doctoral School at Corvinus University of Budapest. She became involved in academic research following 20 years of experience in regional development and the financial sector in Hungary and Austria. Her research was assisted by short term scholarships spent in Kőszeg from 2014 to 2016. Since 2017 she has joined the permanent staff at iASK to foster the development of international relations. Her research interests include globalization and regional development, in particular the impact of global production networks of transnational corporations on national and regional economic and social development in Central European and Southeast-Asian countries. She lectures at conferences in both regions, publishes,and participates in international research projects in collaboration with Visegrad countries. She lectures at the International Studies MA program at the Kőszeg Campus of the University of Pannonia.
