Veszprém is a town in the Central Transdanubian region of Hungary, the capital of Veszprém County and Veszprém District. It is a university town, the city of the queens and in 2023 it holds the title of European Capital of Culture.
Veszprém can be reached most quickly by road from Budapest on the M7 motorway, and then at Székesfehérvár on the main road 8. From Győr you can reach Veszprém on the 82, from Graz-Körmend on the 8, from Balatonfüred on the 73 and from Tapolca on the 77. The minor roads in Veszprém are the 7217 road to Balatonalmádi and the 7219 road to Alsóörs.
By train, it can be reached by the Székesfehérvár-Szombathely railway line or the Győr-Veszprém railway line.
